چکیده

Abstractive Sentence Summarization generates a shorter version of a given sentence while attempting to preserve its meaning. We introduce a conditional recurrent neural network (RNN) which generates a summary of an input sentence. The conditioning is provided by a novel convolutional attention-based encoder which ensures that the decoder focuses on the appropriate input words at each step of generation. Our model relies only on learned features and is easy to train in an end-to-end fashion on large data sets. Our experiments show that the model significantly outperforms the recently proposed state-of-the-art method on the Gigaword corpus while performing competitively on the DUC-2004 shared task.ive Sentence Summarization generates a shorter version of a given sentence while attempting to preserve its meaning. Selective Encoding for Abstractive Sentence Summarization

We propose a selective encoding model to extend the sequence-to-sequence framework for abstractive sentence summarization. It consists of a sentence encoder, a selective gate network, and an attention equipped decoder. The sentence encoder and decoder are built with recurrent neural networks. The selective gate network constructs a second level sentence representation by controlling the informa...

Abstractive Summarization for Amazon Reviews

This paper focuses on feed-forward neural network with attention-based encoder to solve the challenge of abstractive summarization. We also briefly explored the potential of attentive recurrent neural network and recurrent neural network encoder-decoder. Those models were originally proposed to solve similar tasks, such as news articles summarization and machine translation; we modify and exten...

Abstractive Text Summarization using Sequence-to-sequence RNNs and Beyond

In this work, we model abstractive text summarization using Attentional EncoderDecoder Recurrent Neural Networks, and show that they achieve state-of-the-art performance on two different corpora. We propose several novel models that address critical problems in summarization that are not adequately modeled by the basic architecture, such as modeling key-words, capturing the hierarchy of sentenc...

Decoupling Encoder and Decoder Networks for Abstractive Document Summarization

Abstractive document summarization seeks to automatically generate a summary for a document, based on some abstract “understanding” of the original document. State-of-the-art techniques traditionally use attentive encoder–decoder architectures. However, due to the large number of parameters in these models, they require large training datasets and long training times. In this paper, we propose ...

Neural Abstractive Text Summarization

Abstractive text summarization is a complex task whose goal is to generate a concise version of a text without necessarily reusing the sentences from the original source, but still preserving the meaning and the key contents. We address this issue by modeling the problem as a sequence to sequence learning and exploiting Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs). This work is a discussion about our ongoi...
